The Haryana police filed a case against four men, including a policeman, for raping and illegally confining a 20-year girl for nine days.
The girl, in her statement, said that he knew the suspects who were from her village. She was talking to one of the accused on June 30 when two of his friend arrived in a car and took her and confined her to a room, and raped her repeatedly.
The girl alleged that the accused used sedatives to keep her unconscious. On July 8 accused left her at the Ballabhgarh bus stand. She filed the complaint on July 10.
Some people assaulted a villager who helped women file a complaint to support the woman file the police complaint.
“During preliminary investigation, it was found that the incident is not related to the case in which the woman has complained. However, further investigation is under progress,” said a police official.
The police have registered a case under various provisions of the IPC, including rape, kidnapping, and relevant sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The accused are yet to be arrested.
