NIA Arrested Former Police Officer Pardeep Sharma & others in Antilia Bomb Scare Case
On Thursday, the National Investigation Agency(NIA) arrested Shiv Sena leader and former police officer Pardeep Sharma in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case and Mansukh Hirani murder. Pardeep Sharma is a former encounter specialist of Mumbai police.
The NIA, along with the CRPF team, arrested him after the raid conducted by them in the premises of Shiv Sena’s leader around 6 am. Mumbai police also reached the premises of Pardeep after hearing of a raid conducted in Andheri West.
According to reports, Sharma is being taken to JJ hospital for a medical check-up after that, he will be produced in court.
Two days before his arrest NIA team had questioned him regarding the probe. NIA had restricted the public movement around the house of Pardeep.
The central agencies had arrested former police officers Sachin Waze, Riyazuddin Kazi, Sunil Mane, former police constable Vinayak Shinde and cricket bookie Naresh Gour for their involvement in the Antilia Bomb Scare case.
Central agencies had arrested Santosh Shelar and Anand Jadhav. According to them, they both were involved in the conspiracy to plant an SUV with explosives near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence.
The SUV was planted near Ambani’s house on February 25, 2020. The owner of the SUV, Mansukh Hiren, was found dead at a Mumbai creek on March 5.
